Oh, Golems don't actually need to adapt to changes in the market, if they just had some basic logical thresholds mimicking an "if" statement some mad plutocrat would make a golem logical circuits. Essentially, as long as a golem is capable of handling basic logic and acting upon it, they are fine enough to fill in certain positions, such as reading a list of instructions on what stocks to buy to physically attend the Exchange and make those trades without fail.
An advanced Golem that participates in trading would likely have to be basically sentient and would be an actual trader.
