Wait, I just realized something that probably should have been discussed already.
What if those two are throwing a fit over merch? Like they either didn't get told their anniversary merch would be shit or that they'd get a bad cut of it until recently, or that they thought they'd try staging a coupe over it later after they got their models and they tried to get their numbers up? It makes sense saying as they clearly aren't motivated by love of Holostars or something, they just seem to be in it for themselves, so the money would be the only thing they care about. It'd explain exactly why this came up almost centered around their anniversary, why it's coming up after contract season, and why management seems so half-baked about whatever the fuck's going on. It'd even explain the blue one's reaction to it.
