Well there are actual on screen deaths of some of the main cast and their digimon so it's a much darker tone compared to the anime.
I personally liked the characters.
This game has the most story of any Digimon game.

Remember when there was no streaming on youtube? Before Twitch took off? When the max video length was 10 minutes? I miss those days. I wish there were chuubas that had that style of content. The only ones that come close are the stream highlight videos from Vshojos and some big indies.
