I've been thinking of an EN saga like: Watson has used her watch a few times to solve some cases but avoided really jumping through history to change things (She's gone to see some historic events as an observer), in her own time she starts to get the whiff of a strange cult but it's too late, awakened AOs use Ina to destroy the world,. She jumps very far back out of panic and winds up meeting Gura near Atlantis, then goes back into the future, knowing that Atlantis is real and what happens to it Amelia goes back a few times and create a way to save her new friend, they both end up in our time and before the cultists appear. Trying to make a plan they stop at fast food place and meet Kiara (who just seems strange to them), shortly after they are confronted by Mori who says Amelia did something very wrong (Kiara recognizing the reaper temporarily makes her retreat). They're all noticing things are starting to get really weird, then Ina walks in. Amelia suddenly faces some very important choices.

There's been fics like that where Watson needs to create the conditions for the reality she already lives in. It's like a paradox. Knowing you need to do something you've already done but don't know what it is.
She gets angry at her (future) self for not leaving info or not doing whatever needed to be done. It shows time travel carries a ton of responsibility. For every good thing she helped bring about, there could be other tragedies she had to let play out or unwittingly contributed to.

One of the biggest in the fan lore themes I've seen is she was wanted to save Atlantis and made multiple trips to try to do it. It was Gura who figured out why she kept meeting this confused but determined human girl, and Gura told Amelia to let things happen as they should since it was clear they were going to be okay. Had that tragedy not occurred then their paths may have never crossed. Which is a fitting theme for Amelia: we are the sum total of our experiences.
