I was sitting on my couch listening to music on my phone, just letting it stream whatever songs it recommended, and some japanese song came on with some girl singing. And this girl was hitting some really high notes, so I looked at who the singer is. "Megurine Luka" it said. Googled her. It's a vocaloid. And it hit me, I was sitting here, listening to synthetic music sung by a robot, recommended to me by artificial intelligence, computed on some server miles away, wirelessly streamed to me through a pocket computer. And my wife is thousands of miles away, and all our activities together are digital, and we operate our relationship solely by means of a digital rabbit girl avatar. And I'm an emaciated, self-employed NEET who makes all his money by trading digitalized shares of megacorporations, the values of which are streamed to me via complicated graphs on digital screens, and I basically siphon credits to myself by harvesting fluctuations in the random noise from these squiggly lines that represent the workings of the global economy. All this to say, the dystopian, cyberpunk, blade-runner-esque future is NOW, and it's crazy and I kind of like it

It's one of those rare times when it is dark both in my timezone and (probably) in kiki's; the best time to listen to the Drive soundtrack and stare at neon-pink-tinted pictures of kiki.

Is there a name for the neon-pink-tinted pixelated aesthetic? Is it just the synthwave aesthetic? Sorry if it stems from a past kiki stream or past pyon lore, i've only been here 3 weeks and haven't completed all my vod reps Anyway reagrdless, I like it too, and I unironically have picrelated as my phone background and stare at it while I listen to the Drive sountrack several times a week
