You're right in that the conversation is not to convert the mindset of a troll who posts bait, but merely to affirm my feelings and mindset into a way I can articulate how I feel and why. However, it's not so onesided. 4chan happens to be the best website for a conversation because of it's structured. I'm not merely having a one-on-one with shitposter-kun but it could open up more avanues of thoughtful discussion to evolve and have anyone else hop in with whatever REAL opinion they might have.
Simply saying "Ogey Rrat" and reacting to streams make for turning this general into a glorified youtube chat, only more centralized.
I don't ever feel like I'm taking a loss when I talk about what I like sincerely and I sincerely like Moona and don't feel like I'm wasting time or effort when I want to say what I like or dislike regarding her.
I am at a loss that no one feels the same. Like exploring how they think about Moona and putting it on paper is a waste of time and yet watching her streams aren't also a waste of productivity. You're already on 4chan, already on the board dedicated to vtubers, already watching the streams, why not indulge a shitposter if it means making digesting all of what you've watched, saw, and read into something cohesive.
And yes I am a little butthurt that someone thought it better to post soijack-tier shit rather than simply addressing me on what they didn't like about an opinion I had. It's just sad enough seeing that shit on /v/, much more so on a board I give a shit about.
I know times change, but why does it always have to rear it's head as a regress? I didn't feel bad when tbqh smdh family was posted all around and then subsequently word filtered. I don't feel bad when ogey rrat is spammed, but to use it to deliberately undercut an honest attempt at saying something worthwhile seems a bit sad. I'd think people would be more open to talk about Moona in /moon/ of all places and not to just shitpost around like this was /global/. We can blame tourists and shitposters all we want, but it takes more concentration to go to a general than it is to go to /hlg/ or /hlgg/. I assume most people are here for Moona and it takes more than one schizo to shit this place up like the smug fucks who think they're being witty by replying, yes replying, to antiposts with sarcastic condecending remarks that only bring the integrity of what they're saying down to shitposterkun's level.
