Good info anon, learned some good stuff in the post-roman empire section. Thank you.

I wonder if the shoggoth could propel itself through water somehow. Maybe if the ants form a water channel through the shoggoth and they all paddle in the same direction it can act as a micro-jet of sorts, then if the shoggoth has thousands or millions of those channels it can produce a measurable amount of thrust.

That island belongs to /meat/. I think while the scenario you envision is not physically impossible, nations would be initially setup so as to prevent it from happening.

I kind of disagree, unless you are in for an extremely specific experience, such as a grindy dungeon crawl or nations roleplay. You can have an excellent TTRPG with an one-page system that has bare minimum rules required to even run it. The key is that you should not treat rolls lightly or ignore them for the sake of "the narrative". The rules, and by extension, the rolls are an agreement between the players and the GM - whenever the outcome of an action is uncertain, they decide based on every circumstantial advantage and disadvantage and pure chance. As such, the dice roll is absolute, but the tabletop isn't about rolling dice, it's a means to an end.

I'm doing quite well, but that was an extremely busy weekend.
Excel skills are one of the most underrated skills one can have. Employers love them, since half the world basically runs on spreadsheets.

It's an amazing movie. Spielberg has outdone himself with his directing work.
Seconded. When can I officially marry my cute, wonderful wife, honk?

You are right. It's mathematically incorrect since you should compare the closing price (taking it as 100%) to the current price (as a Current/Closing Price ratio times 100%), subtracting the former from the latter.
So, say, a 50% drop should mean that the price dropped by 50%, so by half.
There, a 50% drop means that yesterday's price was 150% of this day's 100%. It's mental.
Change it already, devs.

KoroneSuki... Your expired auctions cost you $1,248,000 per day... against your net worth of $1,526,189.
And you have even more auctions on their way to expiration.
