well if you go look at their comments, they see it as the original owner isn't in charge of the account, and it's republished without permission, so it's disrespectful, some compare it to grave vandalism. one japanese comment pretty much summed it up, basically saying they've never felt such huge cultural difference in their life. though of course, there are japanese fans who do like the archive, mostly commenting on the other videos.
and for me, as soon as I found her I was instantly hooked, sadly she was also graduating soon after so I decided to do the archive since I found that most retired niji tubers at the time privated all their videos. when luna debuted it was pretty shocking, just go look back at the debut thread, it's a great one. I wasn't so sure about the model change at first but it has most definitely grown on me, and true fans of her previous life don't care about the company switch, they should be happy that she's happy now
