I know that this is 4chan, and I should know better to take you too seriously, but I'm more likely to believe >>10648577 than anything, and even that might not be true. At the end of the day, we're never going to know the truth unless someone spills the beans with some solid evidence.
It's a Japanese Business at the end of the day, which means there are Japanese Business Politics in play, and it's willing to choke the life out of many a golden goose because of tradition, saving face or some other stupid horseshit. A hashtag about her is trending worldwide right now, for an event she didn't even show up for. You'd have to be a fool to not capitalize on that. She could come back right now, and the only people who would complain are the people who hate her in the first place.

The Japanese Business only going to tell us what sounds nice and convenient, and not what actually happened. Nobody is going to admit to anything and they never will. Only old fogies like Tomino, Anno, and Miyazaki get to openly talk shit about the projects they've been in or the bullshit they've had to deal with and can continue to find work in Japan. Everyone has to keep mum or they're going to make things difficult for themselves later on.

Also. If you don't like kson, just don't watch it? I'm not a big fan of the new direction, so I don't watch it either.
