if suisei went from being a complete shitter at mario kart to becoming the two time holo champion, i can learn to play guitar at such a level no matter how long it takes.

i was watching that one compilation of suisei training for her second MK tourney after losing the very first one and it woke up something inside me. suisei genuinely sucked ass at mario kart, even when she said she trained a lot for the first cup, yet all she did was say "my goal for next time is get first place in the tournament" and her whole demeanor changes and her primary focus is completely set on getting better at it by practicing non-stop and in a meaningful way. the fact it worked completely boggles my mind, going from being a total noob to someone who's legitimately competent in a relatively short time. even if she hadn't actually won first place she would've cried her usual frustration tears and then simply said "okay but next time i'm winning for sure". with all the acquired skills she got by all that practicing she was bound to win first place eventually.

i realized then that this is how she operates with pretty much everything she does and not just games, and that was legitimately super goddamn inspiring. you really can just do whatever you want no matter how much you suck at first at it and become really competent and respected. in my honest opinion she really wasn't very good at singing when she was starting out, but going from that to then being someone whose voice is being gushed over by fucking everyone (i actually nearly teared up with her TFT stellar stellar performance because it was so fucking good), i feel insanely motivated to do my reps on the things i want to become really good at now. i constantly had that doubt in my mind ("i don't have that natural talent, so i'm gonna hit a brick wall eventually with my progress", "this is as good as i'm gonna get", etc), but now it's all completely gone, at least for now. and all i had to do was being reminded of what suichan's approach to life is by rewatching her play fucking mario kart.
