Yeah back when what you paid for is what you get since there was no way to update the game so devs were pressured to have a game complete on time.
The only thing I didn't like about that is that games like Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix or Pokemon Crystal and Emerald were bought separately but there was enough content added that they were almost like entirely new games when you did reach the extra content.
I think even KH2FM came with Re;Chain of Memories didn't it?
