Bad examples, Tsunderia's been floundering for awhile now on youtube, to the point where Slugma wants to move most of their operations to twitch, cause they get way more viewers there, as for the Holostars, Cover did every single thing they could to sabotage them.
Nijisanji was your proof that male vtubers could work and in the west, the biggest streamers are all men, I never doubted for a second that Luxiem would be popular.

Its same with the HoloEN girls, the desire for EN vtubers like was insanely fucking obvious but retarded JP managers just never payed attention, when Lulu was getting all that EOP attention, that was the moment to try out an EN wave.

Vtubing has nothing with idol shit and Hololive didn't give a fuck about idolshit starting out either, the only idol like personality was Sora, the rest of em where basically twitch thot streamers with the stuff they put out, its why some of the earlier gens got hit so hard when youtube went full advertiser friendly.

Ultimately, vtubing is simply an evolution of standard streaming, people that normally wouldn't want to stream feel they can stream, because its not them, its their character that's putting themselves out there.
