Begging is against /biz/ rules. You'll need to exchange something equivalent if you want that plastic toy.

Stealth art critique thread? You bitch, I'm in.

The bad:

Ina's art is jarring because Hololive characters are usually represented as their original selves, with a different artistic style distinct to each one thrown together at random like darts at a board. This is one of the insanely few times they're all depicted together with a singular cohesive art style, which is uncanny because people aren't used to it.

The worse:

Better song than umisea's original, which was a poorly thought out frenetic clusterfuck.

The good:

The art is decent (my honest reaction was "sameface?") and the song is fun, which makes for a good showing of Ina's artistic skill. It's not god tier like a dedicated team of veteran animators would be, but it's quite far from redjuice's crimson abortion.

The contructive:

The outfits are iconic, but I feel as if the faces could use a bit more distinction to set them apart from one another. They don't all have to be original art style, but incorporating a bit of a deviation from the standard proportions/expressions into each character that's reminiscent of their usual appearance would make them stand out more. They don't have to be full caricatures, but I'd imagine styling them based on their motifs in the right way might improve Ina's artist reimaginings of the Holomems.

IMO, the reimaginings don't actually need to be 1:1 ports into her own style unless the company mandated it. Taking a few liberties to add or modify their design elements might even be more well received than "the same characters just in a different art style." But that's just my own opinion as a shitposter on /vt/, and it's not necessarily relevant to or indicative of true popular sentiment.

Holo JP server is an ugly utilitarian clusterfuck of an amusement park devoid of any central planning. Their design sense is simply mimicking random locations or items IRL without any focus on function or appearance relative to the scenery around it. They haven't fundamentally branched out. They usually cluster buildings together without rhyme or reason other than pure personal convenience and proximity to resources. It's an unintuitive splattering of attractions and traps most of which aren't in any way self explanatory or complementary to whatever's in the area.

Holo EN server is more of a worker coop with minimal central planning and a moderate focus on the peak aestheticism that is natural architecture. An appreciation for natural beauty over urban sprawl is what makes the (finally being built up) EN server superior. As the branch with artists in every gen, the en server stands as a testament to EN's complementary and cooperative approach to building.

Hopefully the JPs will be restricted from building in the EN server, if only because the dust has settled and their way of construction is too pastiche. Chama being banned from the server was also a good thing. The last thing I'd want to watch is even more sprawl. Indos are the exception, as their design sense appears to be split between naturalistic and modern suburban. Both are fine. It's the unsightly chaotic drab of the JP's creatively bankrupt and thematically non-cohesive alleyway urbanism that's responsible for terraforming their server into a glorified parking lot.
