So if I'm understanding this correctly, this was brought up by him saying that people have an incentive to lie on the hololive application as if you get in you'll get a huge boost to your numbers and marketability just from being in the hololive brand than if you were an indie 2view.
Which he isn't wrong, but he's underestimating the amount of research the interviewers are doing on the applicants, and that, has been shown recently, just because they hold auditions, if they don't feel anyone meets their requirements they might just not hire anyone.
And if you get caught lying on your application, espcially for something like being a streamer which is extremely easy to get caught for since your entire career as a streamer is going to be documented so they can actually go and watch your previous content, would probably instantly disqualify you.

So all in all this Connor guy might have had a point, but if you think about his logic for a little you see he actually doesn't as Hololive isn't just going to pick up anyone, But the people who do get picked up do undeniably get a significant boost to their streams.
But the REAL benefit to hololive, which isn't about monthly income is more about getting insider access to TONS of corporate connections with many different companies and brands, that you could NEVER get as an indie.
