I have been drawing for a year already, my best advice is... try to enjoy it
>Use references as often as you like if you feel like doing it
>Don't feel pressure to coloring your drawings if you are not in the mood
>Doing good lineart can take a lot of time, don't worry too much about it and feel free to experiment
>Get used to horizontally flip your drawing, it will be easier to spot weird things with a fresh point of view
>Try to do from time to time a high effort drawing, think about something that could take you 20 hours to finish
>You are going to think that most of your drawings suck, and you will be surprised because other people will like them. Don't worry about it, you are not a hack, it's a normal feeling

Also don't feel pressure to draw something every single day, you will burn out eventually if you stress too much about improving. But I don't consider myself an artist and I still feel like I'm winging every new drawing I make, so just take my advises with a grain of salt.

If you just want to have fun and can afford it I'd recommend the drawing tablet
