That is entirely situational and there is very little reason to give second chances for strangers online. It's one thing to do it for people you know personally, to family, friends or co-workers, but for someone online? No.

Going no-contact with people engaging in DARVO and the like is the 100% best option. Cut them off instantly and as deeply as you possibly can. There is zero point in allowing them back in if they prove themselves to be a bad person.
