So after Mori took care of you and your split open head your mom tells you that she would like to meet Mori and thank her personally and you relay that information to Mori while she's at your place to which she confidently says that that'd be swell and that she can't wait to meet your parents and around that time you get a text from your mom saying that she's getting off work right now because something happened in the office and she gets to go to work early but you don't tell Mori any of that because you want to see the deer caught in the headlights so you get Mori to do some dumb stuff like play Smash Bros or browse memes just to keep her around until mom gets home and when mom does gets home Mori guhs and becomes nervous, and when you tell her to go downstairs to meet your mom she lingers a bit and doesn't leave your room until almost a full minute after you, then when she meets face to face she stutters a bit and bites her tongue during introduction then chuckles nervously, and when mom asks you if you told Mori that she's coming home in a while you just say it slipped your mind and you can feel Mori shoot the deadliest of glares into you, although it's not a strong glare since she's still very nervous so you just think it's incredibly cute instead, and when mom suggests that Mori stays for dinner she tries to excuse herself but before she can get a word out you say that it'd be great and that you two will set the table, which Mori rewards with another cute glare which this time is more like prey about to be devoured at which point you start feeling kind of bad for teasing her this bad so while you're setting the table and are outside of mom's earshot you try to lift her spirits back up again and tell her that after dinner you can decide on where to go for the date that you suggested to her, which makes her blush and say okay rather skittishly, which you think is the cutest thing ever, and during dinner mom inquires Mori about her, at which point even you become nervous because you're scared that mom will ask some dumb shit like "are you two going out" and you start cursing yourself for keeping Mori around this long just for your sick amusement, and you can feel karma grip it's sickly cold hands around your neck, but instead of that mom asks Mori what are her hobbies, and while Mori could answer all the questions so far normally, at this prompt she goes somewhat sheepish and mutters "making music" so quietly that you're not sure you've heard it correctly, but mom does hear it all and responds with "that's great! when anon here was little, he wanted to be in a band" and as you expected karma to choke you slowly, she body-slams you into the pavement instead, so after the disaster of the dinner you offer to walk Mori home, and during the walk you can tell Mori is seething a little, and you figure it's because she wants to get mad and chew you out for putting her through that hell of a dinner, but can't because that'd be admitting out loud that she was nervous and destroy the cool front she was carefully building for everyone, but that doesn't sit well with you either because you want to see her true self, without the front, so as a compromise you apologize to her yourself for putting her into a tough situation, to which she responds that she has no idea what you mean, but you can tell she genuinely feels at least a little bit better that you said that, so you also add that your mom definitely likes her, and as you think of possible places for a date, you approach her house and you think that's the place she grew up in with her parents and suddenly a great fear comes over you, but it is far too late, as she tells you to come inside and meet her father.
