You, a humble chicken farmer, have been dealing with nightly raids on your livestock for almost a week straight. Losing one hen a night is becoming quite costly, and it's clear to you now that a predator has sourced your farm as a prime hunting ground. You move all your animals inside for the night and lay a trap - a simple rope-and-stick tripwire which'll cause the door of the hen coop to shut behind it. You bid farewell to Dorothy, a sickly hen, and leave her inside the coop as bait, then go to sleep.

Sure enough, you awake to the sound of scratching and banging at wooden walls, and upon investigation, you find a bewildered young foxgirl with blood on her face and feathers scattered everywhere. She's clearly been raised as a wild child, and doesn't seem to communicate in anything but a series of growls and grunts. You've caught the perpetrator, but what to do with her?

Do writeanons make a deliberate effort or have a set length in mind for their fics, or do they just write until it feels right?

How many stories have you had going at the same time? Do you think it’s overly ambitious to try having two different ones at the same time? Additionally, do you think that someone that only writes one story has better quality in comparison to someone that has multiple ongoing works?

While not overly ambitious, I think focusing on one work is better. It's easier to keep a clear direction in mind, and the emotions that writing is so often spurred on by aren't muddled or lost sight of by shifting your attention elsewhere.

Generally if I stop writing something, I just think to myself it's dead and move on.

I would say true, but if one really wants to improve at some point they would know better than to care about others opinion. When I was young and hitting the gym, one day when I was doing the plank, I saw some gym instructors laughing at me because I was shaking 10 seconds in. Pretty short and sweet (?) read anon. I think the direct style works fine, made everything quite easy to read. It also felt like it was coming from someone who was speaking from the heart rather than the head. That said, some less direct description could give us a better grasp on both you and Polka's struggle.

The direct description works fine at the start, where it feels like you're opening up about the news. Around other parts such as where other people visit you two however, you could use some more figurative descriptions to hammer home that secluded feeling. Maybe something about how frequent yet short the others' visits are, or the silence when you mention another girl's name.

You do use some less direct descriptions in your self-questioning. I thought it might have worked better with a direct style here, to sell that you're desperately trying to find out what went wrong.

That said, others might have had different feelings about your description. I liked your vows to her being repeated throughout, as well as the little ups and downs the story takes before it gets to where it does. Like the other anon said, the ending could have been expanded upon to carry more emotional weight. Maybe something like comparing the life with her and now without her? Nitpicking aside, I really the way the story progressed as a mental diary. Hope to see more of it, anon!

Merging the writing and draw threads could turn out to be pretty good. Currently /wg/ is mostly quiet when there hasn't been a story posted recently, there just isn't anything discuss. Occasionally we get some writing related questions which we talk about, but mostly, for the past few months, shitposting and baiting starts when the thread goes quiet. Having more steady discussion in the form of drawing could help with that. Plus we could also have write and draw anons working together to fill the same prompt, writing a story plus accompanying it with some art. Adding music too would probably be too much though

Looks like there's a typo in "she begins to twirl a lock of around one finger."
Also a few sections pile up adverbs like "(in painfully high quality nonetheless) crafted by the rat instantly gets you painfully aroused.", which sounds a bit clunky. Everything else I had to say I just chalked up to stylistic difference. Last scene was really hot. You and Baelz going out was nice. Feels like your best chapter so far!

See this was my fear when I decided to release it in chapters versus one enormous wall of text - it was fear of getting distracted. Still want to finish it, but since the Aqua/Shion story burned me out pretty badly I haven't spent enough time writing to catch up. Yeah... It's been rough since then. Obviously I have released a few shorter stories here and there and made progress on others but not nearly as much as I'd like.
Before that I was probably writing an average of 30 hours a week or so, between May and mid-July. Since then it's been maybe 2-3/week.
Not just because of burnout, but a combination of that plus RL distractions. It was a calm mid-spring/early summer, then stuff started coming up.
