Why are they so mean towards vtubers in general regarding permissions? What is there to lose for them?

Because I played the game on Mori's recommendation and found it very lacking.

Still played it for 113 hours and bought the headphones off ebay tho

This is the same company that issued a C&D to every single content creator that tried to cover information regarding Persona 5 after the halfway point of the game, which they then lessened to "You can only stream the first 2/3rds of the game".
It's not vtubers, Atlus are just assholes to people that want to stream their games. P5 is 5 years old now and Atlus STILL gets bitchy about you livestreaming their game.

I own it and have been periodically starting then stopping since I stop playing for a while and want to make sure I get the complete story and restart. Same with P5.

I feel like most people who enjoyed p3 probably played it when they were the weird kid in high school and I wasn't so it doesn't hit me the same way.

I did however grow up in a middle of nowhere town so P4G and its atmosphere is pretty fun and relatable.

After playing so many rpg games with no fluff on them though, the thought grinding out dozens of days with nothing happening isn't that entertaining anymore.
