I am generally very lenient with the devs as I know it's not exactly their job to do this well, but that showing was firmly "you're not even trying" class work. We got two different pools, and both are considered WIPs. The only commonality they share is that they both have the exact same % ranking of dividend returns (one has a higher payout, the other a lower payout).
I can't access the numbers at this moment, but basically the explanation is that having high volume or high market value hurts your dividends. Having both puts you on the shitlist. We don't know the specific numbers for how big the pool is. It's probably different for each coin.

Devchama here, I've got some time so I do want to talk it out with people here. I know many of you view the proposed changes as being retarded. I hear you, I want to talk as to the reasons why you see it that way and what you guys think is a better solution. We can't just flip a magical switch and come up with an idea that solves everything instantly, this was just one in a series of ideas we've discussed.

I've read your posts and your main gripe seems to be that there will be cycles of overbought until everything has shit divies. The cycles I can see, however, there *shouldn't* be any situation where the % divies trend towards 0. I won't go into too many details but long term behavior should primarily be based on if the coin is overbought for their performance that week, relative to others. This was something we considered, however, since coin performance continues to be a part of the equation and people's reaction to coin performance continues to influence divie payments things should continue to fluctuate such that this isn't the case. Obviously this is something that can't be confirmed with just talk and is something that can only be seen once this is introduced into a market but fuck if we're going to just blindly throw this up there. Now, regarding your other point about scraping divies from others, now this is *partly* intentional in that it's supposed to push for more competitiveness over coins, however one has to consider efficiency. If these high flying people swoop down to grab at the divies of smaller coins they shoot themselves in the foot by making their ROI shit and puts them at major risk as things swing with the market. Only better performing coins can take up that kind of blind move towards a coin while still giving out acceptable efficiency. Sure, it's far easier with this than it would be in the current meta but it's still fucking themselves over. It is a valid concern though.

Consider adjusting volatility based on last-cycle buys/sells.
If everyone starts buying/selling at the same time, It would make sense for the price to skyrocket/plummet making trading more exiting by increasing both risk and profit margins. It would also make it easier to trigger overbought/oversold thresholds.
A few months ago, adjustment dips used to last a few hours at most, not the entire day, this would bring that back. Also, this would make multicoin more important and maybe make multicoin sell usable.

Jokes aside, of course, most players would, for example, stop buying if the price of a stock were to skyrocket and that's hard to model into the simulations, so there's only so much you can predict with them. I had a dumb dream today.
I was clearly watching anime. Some dude was molesting a witch but she cast him away, then some green shit paralyzed her and 3 dudes with shields fixated her. Somehow I then realized it was related vaguely to an in universe web video series which doesn't actually exist.

My best advice is to not spend too much time worrying about it, nachocoin isn't that good of a buy at these prices if you don't have some anyway. It's an established channel so susan can't fuck with the numbers as easily as EN2, and I'm willing to bet the coin will equalize to around these prices, if not a little lower due to the selloff that will happen
