She sat on the couch, shaking and crying, listening to Mori messily puke in the other room and silently sobbed, wondering if this is really the relationship she tried so hard to get and where it went so wrong.

Kiara's clearly highly insecure and it manifests in a snarky passive aggressiveness towards others and maudlin "woe is me" shit whenever things go wrong. Which like you said doesn't make her a bad person but it does make her annoying and really hard to like at times. She should try getting in touch with someone like Yoneko to write songs for her since at least they'd be pretty interesting than the kind of paint-by-numbers pop rock/anime OP slop Hinotori was. She's a veteran failed idol. Which means whatever she has been doing in the past clearly didn't click. Now she is slowly doing the same things like before. She needs a voice trainer because her nasally high pitched tone is not working. She needs someone to sit her down and talk to her about her voice. No Jap will directly say her jpop singing is bad. This is no diss to her though. I am always around when Noel or Coco sings. But those girls know they are horrible and just sing for fun. Kiara is very serious about this. Hinotori would have sounded better if it was sang by any other Holomember that is considered a good singer. She has to recognize that a song is only good because of the singer.
