A lot of JP vtubers/streamers I watch are generally uncomfortable with Valkyrie in general. her missile pods have some carryover quirk from Fuse(wait for it to actually release before going into cover) and hit themselves with their own missiles.

There are some flight quirks that are not obvious unless they practice flying a lot. Stuff like the delay before being able to shoot after releasing jets, knowing that you can mitigate the long fall stun by activating jets before landing or partway down don't register yet.

The worst I've seen is using jets to scale a building with a team on the roof because the delay before being able to fire is a big deal, experienced Valks want to fly partway up the roof near the ledge and then release, climb the rest as normal or fly and overshoot the team entirely while dodging shots.
Also the big bad habit of holding W key while flying, getting stuck on terrain land getting one-clipped is very common.

Qu's sister shows good use missile pods here. It's not something you want to peek and use, it's better for catching people running, forcing them out of cover when you know they need to heal or initiating against a team that's unaware. Peeking with missiles usually gets a Kraber in return.

Definitely, peek and use never works because of the delay mentioned.
It should mainly be used for pressure imo.
Then again, the ones I watch rarely hit themselves that much compared to me lol.

With that said, I think most of the quirks you mentioned are things you'll pick up real quick if you play as much as them, it's the more subtle things that are harder to pick up.
For example, the initial boost actually has a higher flight speed than flying normally, like if you're stuck out where you actually need to fly under fire, spamming the spacebar gets you where you need faster, also useful for some light midair dodging.

It's the Octane/Wraith/Horizon where they tap Q during an infight and expect a bail out. It's crazy bad to missile/cluster during infights(Silence can be shot/held while hipfiring) and I usually advise them to have ability on M5 so they can hold and aim it better if they do the "missairu muzukashi".

Learning isn't really parallel, some have really bad habits that mess them up when playing Valk such holding/spamming spacebar, tapping Q, expecting Horizon lift or Stim and they're not aware that they're playing Valkyrie thus not really conscious of the options until it's too late and they're panic flying.
They're learning slowly because of hundreds of hours on mobility Q legends.

It's usually the latter issue where Valks worry too much about landing some place safe and defensible.
