They also probably only check out good players when they're in tournaments, and see them heavily invested in winning the game (and only a few teams banter during it) so they think it's all serious. Good players playing casually or just rank typically or during scrims have a lot of banter throughout though typically during an actual tournament most just have one or two moments of banter during a tourney round and the rest is focused on winning. Some players who are bad at the game but great at being humorous have a lot of banter, but if someone hasn't watched those players, then it's easy to see Apex as just a lot of nothing w/ bad players or overly focused on the game with pro tourneys.
