Goog morning /vt/ friends! We're halfway through the week so let's finish strong!

Today I'm finishing up Typing of the Dead, so feel free to drop by and try fucking with me using TTS~

Speaking of that, what are some cool interactive stream redeems or functions you've seen? I'm a big fan of Yozo letting her chat play Pokémon while on BRB

subs through twitch and donations through bits prevent this from happening. only really an issue if you directly pay someone through Paypal. this includes Streamlabs since streamlabs just integrates paypal into its payment processing.

Depends on how you pay. I'm not sure if the payment system she uses for the VR counter has anon-payments but if you want to give her money and stay anonymous, you can gift subs/bits. Sure, you lose a bit money on it but you might start a hype train, which sometimes generate more money than anticipated and you support the community, along with Nina herself.

Partly nostalgia, partly because later games didn't have the same kind of compelling casts. I have a lot of the Story of Seasons but they're... not quite as fun, I guess? I love the original HM to SNES, but anything that's more 3D than Back to Nature is off-putting to me.

Chuubas selfposting was one of the things that made the trash can attractive. The difference is there's more wandering viewers up here as opposed to the finite pool of viewer regulars. At least we're past the point where viewers felt compelled to become chuubas themselves every other week.

Absolutely fucking not.
Ringfit is ONLY useful if your body legitimately cannot handle any kind of exercise whatsoever. And even then it's only useful until you got a very generous baseline for fitness to do other things with.
You can burn the amount of calories of a multi-hour RFA session in a fraction of the time.
And all RFA does is cardio so you wouldn't see any real gains from that in the first place.
Sorry if this sounds harsh but I kind of got a hateboner for RFA

I actually did a whole spiel about RFA and said while it's great for general fitness you can't really expect to see any significant muscle increases, even if you were to pull from possible accumulated fat reserves. It's why I love VR games like RealFitVR and VRWorkout since they break out of the standard rhythm fitness mold to incorporate calisthenics and even weight training in VRWorkout's case.

Ringfit is very good if you're out of shape and aren't used to an exercise routine. People who exercise regularly are definitely well above it. It's kind of like a more accessible and fun version of something like Zumba which isn't trying to get you gains or anything but to achieve and maintain a healthy level of fitness if you have a relatively sedentary lifestyle.

If you're just trying to burn calories do that couch to 5k or something and work up from there. But I think incorporating calisthenics is more useful if you're trying to get a base level of fitness. Just throw in some pushups too until you can do 20+ and once these are easy for you branch out to other things.

If you want to think that, then do so. I do not care. I will express my happiness and continue to have fun here.

Ah, Luke, my boy, this reminds me of a question...

1) Describe one of the most fun you have had watching a stream!
2) Describe an event that has made you the most excited since finding indies!
3) Are you happy, /wvt/?

You may ask me a question, if you would like! I hope everyone has a great day!

I do not usually answer my own questions, but...
I think I was most excited about Corpse's first Among Us stream... it was surprising, since I sort of hate Amogus, but she made it a ton of fun! It showed a very funny and silly side of her. It was nice.
And I think a stream I got really invested in was Kongou's Fortnite stream. It was just so absurd given everything we know about how he acts usually and the entire truck royale was so funny. OH my gosh.

Also the first Corpse amogus stream. It was exciting. Someone finally played with non-standard settings, everything was SPEED, and the all-caps was just fun. Bonus points for getting viewers (and chuubas) involved.
>2) Describe an event that has made you the most excited since finding indies!
When Josabelle made a special model and character and stuff just for April Fools. That was incredibly fun and made me really excited for what else she might do and what others might do that's 'out of the box' or at least unusual.
>3) Are you happy, /wvt/?
I'm mostly happy today, yeah. I am a little despondent with the meta situation and feel like the things I cherish are slipping further into irrelevancy and being replaced by things I do not understand or care about. Apart from that the vibes are good.

I have been wondering how to have a Community Night with everyone for about... three months. I keep trying to find games we could all play together that does not require pay, or high end PCs, or too much time to learn, but is also not overdone or boring. I want to spend more time with people as a group and get used to it! So I guess that is what I wish for. I am still figuring it out, but we have had a few game nights and they were fun! G'afternoon, comfy ayy. Missed the chance to reply to the morning questions, but shan't miss these.
1) Early in on the process, when Mori (Forma de Reaper-Rapper) did a karaoke, and just bust into "BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY" and everyone, including me, exploded into simultaneous kneelposting. It was one of the first times in those earlier streams that the concept that even "famous" people liked stupid things like Mass Destruction and would sing it, since I never bothered with streamers much before then.
2) My all-time favorite moment from indies still has to be Part 3 of the Carmine Phlegethon Challenge Gauntlet, the 100% OJ collab with Nyaru and returning challengers Vel and Shimada. The sheer fucking CLUTCH LUCK HORSESHIT that the chuuni bigdicked out on the table was priceless. You could SEE the moment when the tides fucking turned. Nyaru did a good job clipping it, but I still sometimes entertain thoughts of making it into an absolute YouTubePoop tier monster of a video, complete with RULES OF NATURE and Cornered and things. I'm just revved up thinking about it. There's been so many crazy things like that, but it's still my favorite.
3) I'm starting to enter the flow with editreps, so happiness is on the incline. Still, the sun will fall, and all returns to baseline.

And to you, ayy: How recently HAVE you had dark chocolate ice cream? It's been... a decade, or more, for me, and now I'm hankering for it again...

I am really bad at remembering specific moments like that. That's a bit of a problem. I do know that I really enjoy Kitanya streams. Her mediashares were really fun, the way she kept getting sidetracked into watching random videos and talking about candy again.
>2) Describe an event that has made you the most excited since finding indies!
I think return streams like Koragi's and Shimada's highlight what indies do really well. The sense of building and being part of a community is something I very much enjoy.
>3) Are you happy, /wvt/?

Hi ayylium. Glad you're having fun here with us autismos.

1. During a proper stream, I think it was just a zatsudan where we all ended up talking shit and cracking jokes at each other while going off on some wild tangent. I really love that atmosphere and type of back and forth.
2. Any kind of game or event nights, like movie watchalongs, are super exciting to me. It's so different being able to actually chat with people as friends instead of just a viewer to an entertainer.
3. I'm doing alright. Been feeling pretty inspired the past few days, though I don't think that counts for proper happiness.

How do you prefer the chuuba/viewer relationship? Do you like seeing chuubas as "the entertainment" to an audience of viewers like the typical idol experience, or do you prefer when it's more like a big hangout or the streamer is just one of the boys, as it were?

1) Your "My Immortal" stream springs to mind, the part where you were moving the pieces around to no audio had me in stitches, even if it was an accident. Also the little "dressing up" music was really great, so funny to juxtapose.

2) It was honestly being able to interact /here/, like I can say I really like someone and they'll read it and respond. That's why I enjoy indies, I feel like I'm making more of a difference.

3) Not really. I think I just kind of exist. Not sure if I'll ever get there, honestly.

Question for you: What's your favorite weather and time of day? For me, it's after a rainstorm and it's kind of cool but the sun is starting to set and the lights on the stores are lighting up but it's still bright enough to see. That's mine.

As a viewer, the streams where you can tell the streamer is hanging out and having fun are so comforting. It just feels really nice to see everyone comfy and enjoying themselves. Second hand happiness.

>Do you like seeing chuubas as "the entertainment" to an audience of viewers like the typical idol experience, or do you prefer when it's more like a big hangout or the streamer is just one of the boys, as it were?
I am very parasocial, so I see the streamer as an entertainer who is also a person, and you can befriend people. I think that is why I never understood the "chuuba/viewer" divide. We are all viewers at the end of the day. We engage with other's content, we watch streamers we enjoy. I know it is not the same, but I guess even when I was strictly a viewer twitch user, I saw streamers as normal people who are having fun with me. I like the feeling of friendship I get from certain types of streamers, and that is why I wanted to have a sort of buddy relationship with those who watch me when I first started.

I really love that hour in the morning where everything is blue. The air is cool and crisp, you can still hear the sounds of the night, as they fade. And you can feel the dew between your toes. Not that anon, but I love this time, more so in the morning than the evening. I used to take hikes up the cliff, or drive out to a park that had a different cliff to climb up, and watch the sun rise before going home and making breakfast and starting the day. The koragi 1k celebration stream, the lilyhops E3 coverage stream, the bat/basedapoya/nina collab stream, and the ary 'my immortal' stream are the streams off the top of my head that I've enjoyed the absolute most. Unique event streams that the streamer clearly put heart and soul into making tend to be super entertaining and I love them.

Sure! I know some people use this place as escapism, but I honestly doubt I'd come here if I wasn't happy.

It's not that there is no hope, but very little. I don't hold it against the chuuba or any streamer if it were to happen again. Personally I have very little energy for social interaction, so I'm very empathetic towards people in your situation(a streamer who like to interact with audience).
I don't think it's completely true or even that chuuba's want it to be like that it's just that as the community grows, so do expectations and obligations so there would be less time and energy to get as invested with the newer viewers compared to the early ones, unless the newer community member really stands out in some way.
It's all very reasonable so people(me in this case) end up with bothersome niggling feelings that are for the most part wasted.
