As it stands a lot of Niji En fans, probably upwards of 70-80% came from or were first exposed to Hololive. Now that doesn't mean those fans are tribalists as many still continue to watch and follow Hololive, but the En management can see that as potential for disaster if viewers continue to bleed to Niji En, particularly if there are simultaneous streams where numbers are concerned or if the SC donors take some or all of their donations to Niji En. As it stands right now, I think they've lost all the viewers they were going to lose to Niji EN, unless somehow Holo EN starts to produce absolutely god awful content. The fanbase knows there are alternatives at this point, and those that were totally disillusioned already left, while those that weren't interested for a variety of reasons stayed, and the ratio has been pretty steady for a while. I could only see benefits for them to look to smaller companies to help liven things up for them, and even to Vshojo for new content since there seems to be nearly no crossover fans from Youtube to Twitch.

Collabs can be seen as a way to give the alternatives a chance on who they are or what they are like. Secondly, it doesn't mean there won't be more disillusioned fans in the future, so a collab could be there to plant a seed where the said viewer could give Niji En a chance somewhere down the line if they grow disillusioned.

Staff and Manager are not the same person. The entire Meltdown incident involved the staff (Manager might have set the rules tho), the Nijiscenario thing and Nijiworld twitter are also handled by staff. Manager is a completely different person and while they don't exactly hate each other they clearly have a more "work-like" relationship.
