I meant just the crying emoji, no need to risk it, you don't need to be treerat lvls of >here, that's an advice I guess. Also if you manage to get past the first phase, do the same as Ame and ask a lot, maybe they may need a second 'Ame' for support after the branch gets too big

>> No.12455762

Unless you're good at making the following entertaining, I'd refrain from doing negative generalizations, engaging with topics or people that might lead into drama or division. And when facing criticism you can't avoid, ie via superchats, just try to be as diplomatic as possible by saying you just want everyone to enjoy themselves and you're working your hardest to keep it as such etc

People are there to watch you have fun and every single second you waste on the loud minority possibly calling you out on something could be spent on the rest who are there to appreciate you

Being overly positive can be a bit boring but the vast majority of viewers tune into vtubers as escapism so they prefer watching someone have fun rather than be bitching and complaining, especially at their audience. And since people online are fickle as fuck just one wrong opinion might turn people away or against you so taking the safe bet with focusing on things you like is often better than antagonising your audience by talking about things you dislike, especially when it comes to topics people are super autistic about like vidya, anime or whatever

Ok. Here's what you do. Do vocal reps. Know trivia so you can bring up obscure topics if you want to go on a tangent and fill airtime. Practice being generous with people so you don't feel uncomfortable supporting your senpais or friends. Don't be narcissistic and selfish. Take an interest in other people's happiness. Do some Japanese reps, especially stock conversational lines if you're brand new. And practice singing long tones near the edge of your range.
Basically you want to increase your skills as much as possible in the relevant fields:
>entertainment (filling airtime)
>not being an intolerable jerk (generosity and focus on others' happiness)
>singing voice (singing long tone reps and pitch bending reps)
>talking voice (this is covered by singing reps but it also helps if you specifically focus on making your voice sound soothing, smooth, and sometimes subtly sexy)
>vocal expressiveness (NOOO! Ahh! Yeah!!! Nice!! and multiple line versions of these to feel the emotion for longer like up to 10+ seconds at a time)
>work ethic (it helps if you were raised in a strict family or if you had to work to support yourself and you struggled for something in life)
>Japanese (management will like you more if you know some vs knowing none at all)
>
If you want your fans to feel happy and loved, it can be easy or difficult. In my opinion there is a delicate line here. Think of someone who has never received any love, not every viewer is this extreme, but some are. What do they think about people and interacting with people? It may help to watch a neet documentary. The keys here are respect, delicacy, and confidence. It's a bit like walking on eggshells in some ways, but don't feel like you have to walk on eggshells. You're trying to avoid hurting the person who has been hurt many times before. Or it can be very easy, just don't be a bitch, if you understand all dimensions of what that means.

Learn to recognize bad advice... announcing you have a BF is something you should probably never do, for several reasons. As for negative criticism, check out this channel. She has entertaining moments but they are few and her channel is mostly silent. It's ok to be silent sometimes but if you are solo streaming this should almost never happen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnHeH78KyRM
If you want an example of the opposite, look for Mori's streams where she talks from her fridge. She does a bit almost every time she has to go away for a moment for food, and it became one of the most entertaining parts of her streams. Other vtubers would just mute and forget it until they come back. Of course mute if you're going to the bathroom.

First and foremost, break up with your bf and stop seeing any male who might want to fuck you or has fucked you before. Not just social media cleaning, but actually break irl. Second, follow the first advice. Third, give a lot of voice service, like humming and singing and generally keeping a relaxed voice tone like when you do asmr but at an audible level (example see Alice Mononobe). Fourth, ignore anyone who says the advice above isn't good and block them. For the rest, show off any skills you got, even if you think it's futile it most likely isn't, be it being good in a specific game or at playing an instrument or singing a specific song, don't be afraid to show off. You can post anonymously some test vocaroo on /int/ or /soc/ or whatever to hear some feedback.

This will make most of your fans feel happy and in love with you.

I don't know if it's been said, but it helps if you're already a streamer. AS lot of the things you need to be a VTuber in a corp you would likely learn streaming as some nobody, with your face, or a .png or a cheap anime live2d if you prefer.
Obviously having 5 viewers (2 of which are actively chatting) can't prepare you for 5000 live viewers, though.

So what kind of talent do you have that will make you stand out compared to the others? Do you have experience in music or art? Do you have a reasonably successful youtube channel? If you don't have something along those lines you don't have a good chance of being picked because the standards have risen significantly due to the success of Myth. Worry about what you can do to get in before you worry about what to do once you get in. Getting accepted is 95% of the battle. Think of another route to get there if the plan of cold auditioning to the biggest vtruber company in the world doesn't immediately pay off.

This. If you get in hololive you're gonna get doxed, it's a rule.

Delete all your fugly photos on your social profiles and replace them with cute new photos, get an hair dresser and a make up artist to make yourself pretty, take photos and use them as your existing social media profile pics. You have to spend a bit but it will be worth it, also consider getting a tooth fix from a dentist because you don't want to look like some shitty bird. This way once shit hits the fan you won't feel too bad about it and people won't have much to make fun of you. Plus, Yagoo loves pretty western girls so you will have a little bonus chance, make sure to use youthful-looking make up when/if he or his manager asks to video interview.

Practice voice-acting, the aspiring vtuber thread should have resources.
Learn how to actually be a good streamer, filling dead air is the absolute bare minimum. Definitely look outside of hololive for reference.
Learn how to abuse GFE, it starts with your voice and covers all aspects of your streams and even social media posts.
Don’t enable goslings but don’t openly discourage them either, find a good balance.
Learn how to play the most commonly streamed game genres to be at least somewhat proficient.
Start learning japanese to at least N3 so you can do more collabs without it being awkward or requiring a translator.
Best of luck anon surpass your predecessors, if anything at least Gen2.

>I’m specially looking for tips to make my fan base feel happy and loved (i dont want anyone to be lonely)
#1 advice that isn't vague or subjective?
Read chat. A lot. There's multiple functions and plug-ins that slow it down into blocks. Get familiar with them.
Only ever read supas at the end.
Make it feel like people can get your attention by being insightful, funny and pleasant, never respond to hecklers unless you've got multiple independently verified sources saying that you're funny doing so.
Second advice: Pin helpful feedback.
Heart two comments per VOD that are insightful rather than purely positive/negative.
Respond to one insightful or funny comment per VOD.

A lot of other things depend on your personality, shtick etc etc etc, but using basic positive reinforcement is THE key to cultivating a fanbase you can be proud of.

PS: Bounce fanbase names off multiple people before you debut. It needs to be a word you can imagine yourself saying. Being addressed by fanbase name rather than as Chat/guys/everyone heightens awareness of your viewers as a collective.
Use it, once again, especially often when they're doing something that helps you or themselves.
For a hypothetical: Let's say you've read a bunch of comments saying people started working out.
Say, "A lot of [fanbase name] have been taking more care of themselves lately" at an opportune moment. That gives them a happy feeling.

In short: Men get very few compliments and attention. If you strategically use them in conjunction with YT's tools (chat, pins, hearts, replies) then the collective self-perception of the fanbase will shift and they'll see it as paramount to strive for higher standards of behaviour and interaction.

I bet wanting to join holo at current time is the same as wanting to be a stuntman in a marvel movie, toughest one to land in the industry even with connection.
You'll need a very good portfolio and you'll need a set of skill that no one else in the company have.
They expect you to get results so you'll have to impress them with your number strat if you managed to land an interview (being a nerd doesn't work anymore since 90% of holo are nerds)
Be the holo for normies

As far as personal gripes with Holo goes, try and play the cult games that no other holo is playing/has played. Generally these might have lower viewership, but the ones who do like it will be more interested in you as a result rather than just skimming over Apex/Minecraft stream #1345. It seems like a good way to consistently attract and endear yourself to groups of viewers at a time. Ina does this more than the other HoloENs, playing shit like LoboCorp and Bastion.

Start making content now. The only real teacher for making interesting, valuable online content is experience. If you can't make it as an indie, you will never be able to keep your fans' attention even as a holomem. Also it'll help if you can push above 200k subs because then Cover will actually notice your audition.

The first month(like any job) will be the hardest make sure your opsec is at the peak like right now if you care about keeping stuff private. Unless you're like mori and have your insta with IRL pics still up. Chances are alot of your more private stuff will get dug up if you don't do proper opsec/scrubbing.

You will get alot of shit talking and annoying stuff from schizos who need or haven't taken their meds. Don't let what the audience thinks get to you too much like in the generals for the holos especially the audience saying "you play too much of this or that" or too little. Out of all the girls i bet you two or three have broken down or have some anxiety from joining or when joining, don't end up like them and don't let the rats get to you, or if they will then brace yourself.

>>12486903
Like someone in the thread said look into random subjects or find a topic you like talking about wether it be the most boring shit to most interesting as long as you present it with enthusiasm and good presentation it can fill most dead air. Think about when an fps player stops to explain a play, someone breaks down how something works, or how your day went. some can get away with dead air like in art streams due to the nature of the stream being slower.

>>12486922
have you not seen the roommates of half of them, do your archive reps. like 8 of the 11 EN girls had a significant amount of followers or subs for their respective fields of work/talent.

You have to pick the right game for it. Some games like GTA are great for this, you can just mess around in town with cars and guns and have a blast. Imagine you have a friend playing with you, what would you say and do to try to get them to laugh? Yes, it's tough to do this solo because usually with a friend, the other person is doing the same thing and you can riff off each other. Some people can use chat to help them with this, but you have to practice with no chat at all, because in the beginning you have to entertain people with no one watching. Filling dead air is about how you respond emotionally to the actions you take. If you were telling a story, with you as the main character, the audience doesn't really care so much about what you do, but how you do it and your emotional reactions. If your reactions are boring, they'll get bored. If your reactions are entertaining, they'll love you. This is one reason why reaction channels are so popular on YT, though I never really got into them that much. Most people have boring reactions to things, and they want to experience what it's like to react to things in an entertaining way.
Beyond emotions, it's really about going off on tangents about trivia. Gura is a great example of this because she will relate what's happening on screen to random trivia, and then she can talk about that trivia or pop culture item for a while and it becomes relevant and engaging, especially if the viewers know the things she is referencing. Here is a timestamp for an example, I just pulled it out of nowhere, it's not the best. It's decent. She relates a character's name to the anime Yuri on Ice for example. Anyway if you can watch this clip and realize how she turns "choosing which employee to hire" into something entertaining, you'll understand it a bit more. Notice how there is interesting stuff on the screen too, that's because the game is good for this.

Also if you don't have any chatters, you can get a friend or load a bot with premade lines or questions. Then new viewers will be able to se you react to chat, even if it's fake in the beginning.
