Twitch still removes these emotes, it's just on a report basis and most people aren't reporting emotes. They probably flag certain commonly used phrases or templates though since they sometimes will mass-remove certain emotes like the amongus with the big ass

I've got a couple of collabs coming up with people who chill in my stream, but tend to stream at super different times than me (one is ~12 hours difference, one starts ~1 hour after I finish). I shouldn't expect these to have much impact on me, right?

Do you do collabs a lot? It's only really bad when it's constant. That does affect views, believe it or not.

A positive impact, not sure. Usually I don't cross over after a collab unless the other person really impressed me. So you may not see any jump in viewers, especially if you're all in the same pool of people.

My first collab was with a friend, we both streamed it, and it was hella scuffed. Outside both our normal hours to meet in the middle, my first time playing the game (she'd asked me to not play at all, other than basic controls), and in a fresh instance... It was kind of fun, but also we both suffered from it.

Second collab was utter shit. I asked some (vtuber) friends to join my stream so I could host for my birthday, for one of my favourite games. Two of them decided they'd stream it from their perspective, which caused their internet to slow down.
I'd asked them to play and figure the basics out, or at least watch the 1hr youtube tutorial. None of them did.
Got to be honest, it was awful, and put me off collabs in general, because it was scuffed, awkward, and people are unable to follow basic requests. We had over a fortnight's warning (it was my birthday stream, it didn't come out of nowhere!), and I'd been chasing them to check they'd got everything installed and set up okay.

The one who did well, we're looking to do more collabs in future though.
