VOD views are calculated with every unique view instance you received during the stream while it was live. It culminates views like a youtube video even when you're live. So in short, the vast majority of views are from when the stream actually happened and only a few are from people watching it after.

Yeah. I was uploading twice a day for a week, and tracking view counts every 12 hours, just for tracking.

There's a MINOR boost on more-recently-old clips when you post a new one, from people clicking your profile, but it's minimal. First 24 hours is pretty much all you get.

But actual time during those 24 hours doesnt' seem to matter. Post whenever it works for you

Here is a reading I did a few months ago! I went through a bad spell and lost some of my VODs but I am correctly editing the rest and will put all my readings on my YouTube.

I primarily read sci-fi short fiction like Asimov and Bradbury and Ellison, but I will be doing horror readings when I start back. Hopefully in December if everything is healed by then. I'd throw AI and HimeHina under the umbrella of short, but if we're talking like 1 minute or so vids, a lot of phase connect and prism all make short videos that I think they double as tiktoks, but I'd also look at those and note that shorter the video, the worse it gets.
