>the only reason almost every video is 10 minutes long nowadays
That has ALWAYS been the case on YouTube ever since they started allowing videos to be longer and longer. YouTube's audience is accustomed to watching 10 minute videos because most people are raised on it from watching cartoons and TV in 11-minute segments with about 10 minutes worth of content. This isn't some new meta that popped up last week.

Mind you, the true new meta for YouTube is videos longer than one hour to farm Premium watch hours along with videos much shorter than 10 minutes to feed the algorithm. 10 minute videos still work for traditional YouTubers though, and VTubers could benefit from adding more of that type of content to their channels.

honestly DMC games are weird for numbers. Shuba got decent views with dmc3 but was still slightly debuffed
then there is flare who pulled her normal numbers with dmc1 despite it being the second time she was playing it on the chanel(rip first one holocausted 6 gorrilion videos)
the big bonus for both is that their reactions to the main story beats get clipped with a 99% certainty so it might help with channel growth. same seems to go for Gura.

Small thing I picked up from Gura recent stream DMC stream is that she didn't specify the game title, not only that but she moved her usual zatsudan at the end of her stream to the beginning instead. These two small changes immediately improve her vods view by nearly double compare to her last two other dmc4 streams. Don't know if these are coincidence she just happen to do but curious to see if she continue or not.

Also Gura going without a schedule this week doesn't seem to affecting her at all.

Evaluating Nijisanji EN's upcoming birthday streams and predictions:

11-22, Nina: 2k average CCV; 3.5~3.8k donations
Nina's birthday is following the Niji Crash event, plus she's good at entertaining a crowd and playing up stream events.

11-30, Selen: 5~6k average CCV; 8~9k donations
Selen's the biggest in terms of numbers, always good at playing up stream events, close relationship with other big hitters in the branch so their banter will light up the stream quite a bit

12-4, Petra: 1.6k~1.9k average CCV; 1.8~2k donations
Probably not many guests showing up due to it being so late and doesn't have much of a rapport with anyone, birthday exhaustion following Selen and Nina, isn't good at entertaining a crowd or playing into events like the others

12-12, Millie; 2~2.5k average CCV; 3~4k donations
Great at entertaining a crowd and playing into events, nice banter with big hitters like Pomu and Elira, Ethyria banter too, decent cool down period following Selen and Nina's birthday

2-20, Enna; 2.3~2.9k average CCV; 3~3.9k donations
Guaranteed legendary karaoke, decent at entertaining a crowd, excellent cool down period following Millie, Ethyria banter, close relationship with Elira and Pomu who are big hitters

The next two are Finana and Pomu, and I'm very eager to see how those will play out since Pomu's one of the real backbones of the brand, and Finana's made a big name for herself since her first birthday stream.

So Today's match up should be: Nijisanji Splatoon Tourney vs Gen 3 Collab, right? I think the gen 3 Collab has a less than <1% chance of winning this since I do expect the Niji main channel to draw a mininum of 130k. With that being said, I'd be interested to see if the Niji main channel can draw more than the Sportsfes. HoloSportsfes peaked at 235k(?) for all streams. My basis is that:
Elira's Birthday stream got around 5.5k CCV at peak, and she's usually around 2k for CCV.
Depending on the game, Selen can get around 3k CCV with a bit higher numbers for Apex, and for big events like Phasmophobia she had reached high 6k to 7k CCV.
Birthday streams are pretty big, even Reimu got 3k in donations and 3k CCV on her birthday stream, which is 10x her normal numbers.
Add that with Selen's current incline (just went viral on Reddit after starting on Twitch streaming) and I think 5~6k average is possible.
Likewise, Elira made 10k in SCs in her birthday stream and she doesn't get as much in donations as Selen does on average, hence the 8~9k donation number which may be lowballing it.

Just curious, is there any proof of this? I remember some anon was posting the estimated floor of HoloEN memberships earlier this month and Ame's was around 5k.
Sure, it's just the floor. However, that anon's method was basically counting all members who interacted with chat or joined membership during a stream. If there is proof that Ame has 10k active members, it'd mean that either other HoloEN members (except Gura) would have around as many (give or take a thousand or two), or teamates are just really quiet during streams for some reasons

They do work very hard, and it's commendable. However I don't think Nijisanji just managed to find 10/10 hard workers and Hololive got unlucky with 3/4ths lazy shitters, it's a function of how much they feel they have to stream. Holos seem to feel they have enough money and are popular enough they can just kind of do whatever they want, while Nijis are trying to grow their channels and audience and stay relevant to the algorithm. That's the difference between Selen only having 15 VODs over 100k and only one over 200k and even a shitter like Kiara having 22 VODs over 100k in the last month alone.

Yes, unlike Twitch and just like SC numbers, membership values depend on the currency you're using, but since there's no way to know what people pay memberships in and how many are Tier 2 or 3 subs, we just round it to 5$ per member instead of Yen or Euro, or Pesos.

Stop talking about shit you obviously know nothing about. Songs with 4 or 5 minutes are monetized just fine, the reason a lot of creators use 10 minutes it's because it let them put 2 ads in a single video, plus it's also the recommended time to keep a viewer's attention.

Like, as incompetent and annoying YT is, I REFUSE to believe that the %Adblock usage is high enough to account for a 50% cut. It's not, not if you include mobile devices in EN speaking regions of the world. At HIGHEST, accounting for mobile, its ~25-35% max. Something doesn’t add up. Mid level Twitch streamers get 10-20% engagement with polls. Getting over 50% would be suspicious, 90% is absurd. I'd bet money it's because they don't want to mess around with splitting the earnings from the collabs, speaking from experience friendships tend to get ugly very easily once money gets involved. >Mind you, the true new meta for YouTube is videos longer than one hour to farm Premium watch hours
This is underrated. I watched a video from a creator saying Youtube Premium is "broken" because it gives so much more money than ads for stream VODs. He mentioned that the reason it's not being exploited more is because most Youtube creators upload videos and don't use it as a streaming platform. Obviously vtubers are in a prime position to take advantage of how favorably Youtube Premium divides up it's contribution to various creators because if you watch vtuber VODs then you're racking up a huge amount of time watched which is what youtube bases the split of Premium on.

A creator might get less than a cent for an ad watched on a VOD, but end up with about 20 cents from Youtube Premium it's a massive difference and Hololive are getting millions of people watching their VODs every week.

More irys someone that love to stream every day like the jp senpai.

>> No.13335681

Goddamn, I expected Pekora to fall off a bit after the fresh game buff. Her floor today is 2k higher from yesterday's stream, what is going on?
It's not the nuzlocke death too since she reached and stabilized at 30k before the deaths happened.

IRyS type of course. Good work ethic, good streamer, good singer, mesh well with the rest of members, and bilingual as bonus.

I think they would do well to get someone like Selen/Botan who is actually good at FPS or at least a specific FPS game. She's proven there's a market niche for it.

"Leadership" is a super hard quality to assess in real life business positions, much less internet entertainers that primarily work solo. It would be nice but I'm skeptical there's any practical way to recruit for it with vtubers.

they already got Ame tho, good leader and gamer

IRyS had a poll that was up for 30 seconds. There were only 6.8k votes out of 15.5k views. 45% is a great engagement rate. I guess that is why some vtubers do well, it's from the high engagement.
