Voice changers are not that advanced, it is really obvious when someone is using them. I'll find an example for you but I have to dig through a bunch of links so give me a minute. But for the most case if a guy is pretending to be a girl he is doing it through legitimate voice acting talent, like Mashiro. Who is actually not pretending to be a girl and is pretty open about the fact that he's a guy but his voice is still really impressive.

Anyway, if you're really that worried, just use the VTuber wiki. They're tagged with "voice changer" if they're using a voice changer.
