To make a guess I could say it's more the silent (or near silent) watchers that have disappeared. I think so. It would show a bona fide interest in being a vtuber and contributing to the field rather than using your previous relationship to the vtuber for leverage or taking a shortcut to vtuber to vtuber lines of communication. To be clear, I don't disagree with your point of building a portfolio to prove yourself to industry relationships. My point is that vtubers can be friends with non-vtubers including ones they meet after debuting. Like how if your friends started watching your show, them being viewers would not preclude their personal relationship with you. I think vtubers can be friends with non vtubers, but I don't think they should be friends with fans. If someone is a fan, there's an imbalance of power, it's impossible to be a relationship of equals.

Also I'm a big proponent of maintaining a certain amount of distance between the chuuba and the audience, so every member of the audience is on equal footing, without favoritism and inner circles. I believe Nade is succeeding at doing this and hope she keeps it this way.
