I don't know how I feel recently. I know I'm only one viewer and that my opinion is absolutely worthless and she wouldn't even notice of I disappeared. But I feel like everything she wants to change are things that I really like. I really wish that I want so invested in her personality.

I sincerely doubt Rushia gachikois and Noel gachikois would like if they swapped body types. It's not unfair to expect a vtuber to keep something that's part of identity/design.
But what concerns me more is how fickle Nade tastes are, six months ago, she would cringe at the mere suggestion of having a booba model. It gives me no confidence that her tastes aren't going to change again in the near future and she'll want to change everything again. The first time she expressed she wanted to change models was merely one month after the L2D debut. Makes me believe she was never satisfied with it in first place.

The only thing that really remained from k4gatsu design in the main outfit are the hairdo and hair color (original hair was white-ish, less fluffy, and had less volume). The rest is all Nade. K4gatsu design is less cutesy and has more conventional proportions.

I don't mean anything against him, I just feel like the casual PNG was supposed to be a stopgap between k4gatsu's model that she stopped using abruptly, and whatever her L2D was going to be. She probably had a new design in mind even back then. It obviously wouldn't be the same design as now, but still a new design nonetheless. After lamenting not being able to find a new artist for her L2D, Will approaches Nade with a model already in progress based on her casual PNG. I feel like she didn't have much input over it herself when you consider all the expressions were taken from the first reply to a post asking for expression suggestions. Remember this was before Nade started putting her own wants and happiness first. I think the only inputs that were hers was doing a second yukata outfit, the round glasses, and maybe the badger hat.

Normally yeah i guess, but I doubt that nipplechama has any in depth reference sheets of her, considering how the model came to be. All Nade has to do is post a image with full-body screenshots of the model(s) and maybe some faces/accesories.
Related: Happened to watch Orange Cat work on her festival Nade drawing, but she could not find proper reference images of her. So she mostly worked off of Mecha Girls birthday art to Nade. This is the point we are at kek.

The way I look at it is that her current model is only temporary which was made by a kind viewer since Nade couldn't find a new artist. She probably had a different, newer design in mind but lived with the oppurtinity to have a model made based on her earlier form because it was either that or being stuck as a png for another couple months. Making her current model based on her "older" design was also probably a lot quicker and easier to make than to start again from scratch based on a completely new design.

I think Nade doesn't consider that a true reference sheet, and assumes that people are asking for something more in-depth and custom drawn. Or else her perfectionism makes her uneasy about posting something like that as a reference sheet when she thinks it could be higher quality.

I could just as easily say that Nade was too unsure of herself to explain that she wanted a new design because it wasn't fully drawn up yet, and asked for the current Live2D models to be based on her then current PNGs of her own accord.
Every statement about one artist or another unilaterally determining her design while Nade herself had little opportunity for input doesn't quite track.

What differentiates an in progress model from an in progress piece of art in your mind? Until it is rigged, a model looks the same as any other piece of reference style character art. The final model is literally a more polished version of the WIP he posted. The hair, eye shape, eyelashes, blush pattern and eyebrows are all the same. The uoh face and yandere face that were requested in the thread 15 mins after his art post were both implemented.

I'm not saying that she didn't have the opportunity to give her input, rather that she didn't choose to provide much input in this case other than the second outfit the round glasses, and maybe the hat.

Something more than what was posted. There's detail and coloring and sure but hardly any separation of features into layers necessary to rig a movable model. This level of work is much closer to any run of the mill drawing than something ready for Live2D. At base, the shapes are the same but practically everything looks to have been redrawn since then to prepare for rigging and that's the rub. If everything needed to be redrawn anyway, it was certainly early enough to consider a new design since what was there would at best become tracing fodder and then be scrapped. As for expressions, she said as recently as today that she hadn't thought to add certain ones. Does this mean that she only took ideas from the thread when considering what to ask for? I don't know and barring any comments from the relevant parties like the one about the sunglasses being added as a lark, we don't know the decision making process or who played what role in it. My memory of the situation is that Nade was pleased with the model as it progressed, dropping small mentions of it every time she received an update, so my belief continues to be that she was in fact satisfied with the model at the time. I'd like to ask her about it directly but I'm not about to come at her with hardball questions that aren't related to the stream topic. With what we know, we can't determine whether her desire to change her design is or isn't an earlier or recent development nor can we assume that any of the artists who worked with her gave her anything less than what she requested, within the limits of their respective skill.

Sorry if I'm being too polemic. I know you said yourself that you don't hold anything against the artist.
