I know how you feel when I saw that Miko was moving closer to studio I believed all the MiComet boys it was to be near Suisei but the next day the Peko thread in the mad lads paste bin summary she mentioned wanting to move and even talked to Noel and Rushia about it who both live near Suisei. And the Nousagis said it was the most serious they've ever seen her about moving. And Miko mentioned moving in to a larger place, which would have enough room for two people to live im sure.
The only thing that that throws a wrench into the theory is her mom let her get a cat which was a reason she wanted to move out.

The reason I say this is because when they started voice chatting during the sports fes prep the first time Pekora commented on how Miko sounded different from usual. I don't recall exactly how Pekora worded it but she was so baffled about how Miko sounded that she went to check her Discord settings to see if that was what was causing it. That suggested that they've been talking offstream. It doesn't confirm it or anything, but that part really stuck out to me.
Point is; not all conversations or interactions take place onstream. As a bit of an unrelated example, take Laplus and Shion for example. They've been talking and playing games together offstream, as per Laplus's own admission. Miko is my Oshi and I think it was both of them and that's why things took the awkward turn.
Theory: Miko asked Peko if they could stop PekoMiko tee tee because it was starting to move out of rivalry (ala Senchou calling them lewd and the forced love confession) and the teetee was getting to her because she was in love with Peko. Peko then agreed to drop PekoMiko for the time being because she didn't want to be seen as a in relationship like the rest of her gen.

Miko has a tendency to take blame on herself. The sausage stream where she was pressured to confess to peko, I think she took it hard. She definitely feels she fucked up and it caused awkwardness /embarrassment for peko. That's why she made that stream to tell people specifically that pekomiko wasn't like that.

On pekos part, she also made a stream telling nousagis that she can be a difficult person and she prioritize her time with her fans rather than collabs. Those 2 streams were the closest we ever got for explanation for pekomiko going quiet.
