It was very fun as slightly more adult version of Harry Potter among other things, not super original but engaging. The main issue is author being a fat asshole, busy doing anything other than finishing the trilogy and it's been like 10 years since the last book so he's basically less talented GRRM constantly annoyed by his fanbase.
