I assume everyone who was browsing the board was in that thread, plus many threads struggle to get over 200 unique IP's just because there's around 400 people here at any given time and they all have vested interests and shit. Plus like I said, most I've ever seen in 1 thread with unique IP's is around 400 or 500-ish.
Now of course this doesn't take into account yuros or SEA's but it's a pretty good metric. Especially when you look at big debuts and reveals like Hololive outfits or Nijisanji outfits, which usually peak at 200 unique posters, which makes sense as there's 2 big companies that focus on the "idol" stuff that interests people, so of course if there's 400 it'd be split between Niji and Hololive, with some spill overs into Indies, Vshojo, ect.

Do you really think that's the number of uniques and never changes throughout the day? Do you think people do not eat, sleep, work, go to school? The composition changes every single thread and tons of people use only 1-2 single threads.

Lurker-poster is also like 20+ to 1 but lurkers do count as lots of them spend just as much time and know just as much as you but just don't tend to post. Consider that also you might lurk most of the day and only post a few times in one thread, you're only visible in a counter anywhere for only a few hours.
