Well, I realised that a lot of them are barely / have no interest in anime / otaku culture. Instead of being a regular streamer, they'd rather invade vtuber where it's all anime content. They're gold diggers only in it for the money, and oversaturating the scene with their garbage. I've been in denial about it for over a year.
I slowly stopped watching everyone in Gen 1 of EN, I barely found the will to care about Gen 2 of EN and I only like 2 of them. One of them is for ASMR and the other is for unintentional ASMR.
Then Niji EN happened, was hyped because it was girls without a heavy corporate filter. But aside from Pomu, i quickly realized how bad that actually is.
Then Wave 3 happened with Niji EN, started realizing I really wasn't liking any of them because they all (except one) radiated pure zoomer energy.
Then I was hoping Niji EN with males would help. Got that and then I realized I don't care for any of them.

All this has taught me that I need to finally start my japanese reps and stop leeching off of (good) clippers and chat translators. I don't know where to start though...

tldr: Holo EN filtered me with their disney channel tier humor and the idol shit just doesn't translate well in the west. Niji EN filtered me with it's zoomer humor and constant sex jokes.

When I realised I only like Ina due to her being the most weeb out of EN and everyone else is just a western streamer with an anime avatar.(Kiara seems a bit of a weeb so she is ok). The biggest indicator of this was the new years karaoke where only Ina and Kiara did JP songs (if I remember correctly) while everyone else was just english songs.

I've been learning hiragana and katakana for the past few weeks, and the easiest way I found was to do them both at the same time.

Mnemonics werent really helpful for me, so I just brute-force it by using https://djtguide.neocities.org/kana/index.html and start learning the kana by doing one column of characters at a time.

I was able to get through half of the kana in a few days, and you'll start being able to read very slowly after a week.

I use doujins to practice reading, which makes me lose my boner fast since I spend a lot of time trying to read what they're saying and I have to skip any kanji.

Japanese vtubers spend years practicing for a single stream and do their reps up to million times to produce the finest entertainment known to mankind.
Japanese chuubas are thrice as entertaining as English ones and thrice as funny for that matter too. Anything an EN can stream, a JP can stream better. I'm pretty sure a JP holo could easily mog EN thrice their sub count with a simple gaming stream.
Ever wonder why Gura never bothered collabing with a JP? That's right, she was too scared to be put next the disciplined JP-senpai and their superior Japanese entertainment. Even in the beginnings of /vt/, orangeposters targeted mainly JP holos because their audience captivation power was feared and respected.
So what am I saying? JP holos are simply the best vtubers that the world has ever seen, and thus, require better numbers than they get. We don’t need those EOP meme spewing twitch thots to pollute our perfect vtuber word, unless they're asian and underdog like Ina.

Here's the new weighted sub system I propose for Vtubers:

>If a subscriber knows English AND Japanese, they count as 1 sub
