FBK, like most of the (relatively) old vtubers, joined out of either passion (FBK), some sort of strange parasocial hystrionic combo (Festival), or the most abominable otaku-ness to ever walk Japan (RBC, also Marine).
This was great because the personality traits that make you become an anime girl streamer almost force you to evangelize and try to get people into the hobby.
