Financially yeah. I think it may effect longevity because of how retarded we are though but japs also have weird faggots so who knows

Maybe

Yes and Nijisanji is going to start focusing on overseas soon too, with 2 serious companies doing this we'll probably start having bigger and better collabs that will bring even more people to know vtubers and the community will grow

>> No.1801895

>>1801797
Yes, but I wish they won't pander too much to the overseas audience. Being Japanese is what makes them unique.

Yes

Yes, the JP market is tapped out and there's too much good competition. I think Cover is missing the window to exploit their rapid growth though, they should have started gen 2 auditions, 3D models and done more media outreach as soon as Gura got 1M subs in less than a month, now indies are catching up and viewership is going to start reclining with the world reopening

>> No.1801958

>>1801902
Forcing EN into the hololive ghetto didn't help either

>> No.1802118

>>1801797
Why wouldn't it be?

>> No.1802224

>>1801902
>3D models
I don't think this is coming. They have no easy (cheap) access to a studio and Cover's software is probably not good enough to handle collision for a remote collaboration even if they did. The only thing it'd be good for is recording songs and 3D concerts, which no one buy Mori could do anyway.
They'll never be invited to Holofes.

>> No.1802307

Most of Cover's focus is domestic. They strike a good balance between focusing on their core audience while still looking for ways into other markets and it has already paid off. There is no serious argument that it hasn't been a good investment.

I'm pretty sure japs are way worse as far as doxxing and stalking autism goes.

>> No.1802621

>>1801797
It depends. They really need to make their merch as approachable as possible or they will get mogged by Nijisanji or the fucking chink knock-offs

>> No.1803343

>>1801797
Probably, because we see a slight shift toward positive personalities in western streaming culture, and Hololive's "idol" theme is poised to take advantage of and reinforce it.

>> No.1803457

yes but I don't like it.

>> No.1804139

>>1801797
Yes. Western fanbase is growing and Japanese has passed it's peak.
Japanese are more willing to pay money, but in the long run, western fans will prevail.

>> No.1805591

I mean, compare where Hololive was just a year ago to where it is now.

The answer is obvious.

>> No.1805728

>>1802224
Kiara makes sure to say to mention to every JP member that she wishes she was 3D someday too every time she collabs with a member she hasn't collabed with yet so I'm sure she'll get her 3D or die trying.

>> No.1810841

..You mean by naturally growing? There's only 1 western branch. Vtubing was already on its way to getting bigger hence why they have 5 fucking gens. What you should have said was: "Compare the days of Kizuna Ai and Mirai to the days of Holo/Niji.

It's pretty obvious. With more affordable technology it became insanely accessible for the trend to naturally grow.

You mean before they got all their videos deleted?

>> No.1815040

Kiara also says she wants to visit Japan every 2 months so who knows

>> No.1815101

No. The foreign market's unstable. One day, you're one of the big leagues by being memed by clippers, then after a few months, they just slowly trickle away until you're mediocre at best.

>> No.1820101

Oh, they're psychotic about that shit

>> No.1820305

>The foreign market's unstable
So is the local nip market. Not everyone is a Kuzuha who could just ignore stupid shit. Last year, Sio, Meiro, Roa, and maybe a dozen smaller indies got unpersoned because of a yab. Expanding to foreign markets offers more resilience. Towa would be a literal who without her overseas cult. And fickleness comes in waves in different regions. And dont underestimate dedicated fans who could out autism nips
