It is very easy to PROVE they sound similar. Open up PRAAT (acoustic analysis program) and prove they have similar pitch and intonation patterns when compared to the rest of their gens. I can do it if anyone wants the actual spectrograms, but it should just be clear to anyone with earballs that they sound similar.
