I still don't really believe Mumei's story.
Like, I REALLY don't think there's any drama, I don't think anyone is mad at anyone over it, I fully believe Kiara's "Do you think we're 9 year olds? We're grown adults." was entirely genuine.
But Mumei's explanation just sounds too... fabricated to me, like it's just designed to quell down any possible drama and leave everyone in the best standing possible, it also doesn't explain some things like why she was being indirect about it later down the line, and it doesn't fit neatly with Kiara saying she only found out because she had to.

Just finished the vod but am I really the only one who finds kiara's profanity unattractive? Kiara was talking about how she wants to learn to cut it back a bit and everyone seems to have reacted with "nooooo that's what I like about you" but I will say she was cuter than I'd ever seen her when struggling to not curse. I wouldn't say I find it unattractive, but I wouldn't say I find it attractive either. Like it's not something that I need her to do, if for some reason she stops, it probably wouldn't affect my affection for her. One of the few things it did though was when I was first getting into watching EN streams (was a clipfag before EN came out cause I'm EOP) is that I felt she was more genuine in the way she spoke and you could tell that she wasn't holding anything back. I first started watching Ame/Gura and there were so many times they would bite their tongue to not swear, or swear under their breath that it annoyed me. Although location is definitely a part of it, there's definitely an aspect of how people are raised. Most profanity isn't really in my regular speech and that may come from how I was raised but no one signed up for my blog so I'll just say that I couldn't even say take the lords name in vain as a kid. in all honesty sim racing just isn't great for numbers. saying this as someone who's dreamed about there being a car/racing fan in every new generation. it takes a ton of skill to be actively engaging as a streamer while actually trying. half of racing is focus and you can't exactly interact with chat while trying to hit an apex just right. we obviously had korone's gran turismo streams but outside of that the only streams we ever had were the streams where they dicked around and crashed into walls for 30 minutes until they got bored and quit the game, and the xbox game pass streams basically had to force most of those to even happen.

One thing Myth seemed to struggle with is fans forcing the lore and then expecting the talents to keep up with the developments and they had to slap that down, which might be why Council is a bit wary of leaning into it.

has it ever been confirmed who decides the initial direction of a new model is? the theme always seems like an afterthought that's cobbled together with most generations but at the same time I find it hard to believe Cover isn't giving some significant direction in design. Cover management thinking a phoenix/warrior/fast food manager was a perfect character for a mythical generation is too on brand to not be true.

Unfortunately I couldn't really see it ending up any other way with huke. The two character traits could work out in a more fantasy-oriented aesthetic, but his sci-fi esque aesthetic could never really make those two traits combine cleanly. A fire mage turned shop-keeper selling roasted chicken would have worked wonderfully for sure, and I know Kiara would have loved that. Honestly the more I think about it the more I feel bad she didn't get to be something else given her interests. She would've been right in her zone from the start given a different character concept.

I've been toying around with a fanfic idea, Ame goes back in time to try to meet Kiara, but instead of goofy, happy, nice Kiara she meets the tyrannical and bloodthirsty Kaiserin Kiara and Ame has to figure out a way to escape from her clutches.
the fic would mostly be several thousand words of Kiara keeping Ame as a sex slave and Ame dealing with her complicated feelings towards Kiara

I had something similar but haven't really had time to focus on it since I got other stuff I'm writing. The premise was this:

Kiara Takanashi is one phoenix capable of becoming The Empress should the right turn of events play out. In most cases the Empress is averted however, in some timelines where she is a full time warrior, the likelihood of her becoming the Empress is significantly higher. As one of the most enduring Phoenixs, a Counter Force of Reapers were made in order to stop an Empress before she could gain enough power. In this particular timeline, Mori Calliope once more finds herself in the line of duty, however, a moment of weakness and Kiara touching/noticing her feather earring reveals a ton of memories from past cycles. Realising she is doomed to die while other variants live a life of happiness. She snaps, seizing the feather she triggers a multiversal fail cascade that will only end with either her death or her existence as the one true Immortal Phoenix, Kiara Takanashi.

Aka the EMPRESS OF THE MULTIVERSE and the Last of the Takanashi.

I was originally gonna agree regarding myth but honestly outside of gura who's just a shark at this point, most of them still maintain the lore to some degree. ina embraced the takodachi and ancient ones, even if not going deeper than that. calli uses the lore pretty heavily as a way to communicate irl situations. Ame has struggled pretty hard to relate her lore in relation to her fans compared to everyone else, but honestly of anyone she probably does the most lore-heavy shit since the whole multiverse gimmick kicked into her character. Ame's probably the most similar to kiara in the commitment to so many stream assets relating to her lore.

Hope she manages to set up the grandma collap with Marine, more versions are always nice.

Having even more powerful figures for the next generation never even made much sense for the kohais of mythical beings. Good ol' "animal but human" theming like 90% of JP (pre-myth) would have been perfect for the senpai/kohai dynamic of a new generation after myth. Myths the original founders that fell into such big roles. Now their predecessors can be simpler and lookup to their grand senpais without filling such big roles. Instead they had to be the embodiment of fucking time and space, no pressure.

everytime I've sent one it's something I especially want to hear her talk about it. It's almost always timed in a terrible way during her reading where she'll have just finished a huge tangent and is racing through a set of names without looking at any messages.
