This game fucking hates strength builds and 2h weapons. Fucking katanas do as much damage as a super massive 2h greatsword and sometimes even more.
Game is literally designed to be played as a mage and like 1/2 the weapons in the game are int scaling.
Great game but this is by far my biggest gripe. Magic is just fucking bullshit OP and str melee builds are worthless.

geroge rr martin likes magic alot so that's probably why. spells and shit in souls games usually feel like an afterthought so i think its nice they're actually trying to make something out of it

I beat the game pure strength faith using the Greatsword.
Get fucked loser I hate mages and dexfags too but I want Gura to enjoy the game.
Not to mention the super secret super boss is next to impossible as a pure melee user and is by far the hardest and most bullshit boss fromsoft has ever made by a massive margin.
