Literally the most common outcome for retired professional idols is to end up getting married to the highest bidder. While there are some who successfully make the jump from idol to artist/entertainer, those are the minority--the ones who are truly exceptional talents. Even then, it's still not a sure thing. One of the big shot idols that PPT admires was literally working in a supermarket after she graduated until she made a comeback ~2 years ago.
