What I have been reading is a little different. Seems like the mangaka doesn't watch/like vtubers, and was brought attention to this whole BL prank through a second hand source/maybe somebody who clipped it without context/purposfully made it seem offensive. The mangaka made the tweet reacting toward the situation in the heat of the moment, then somebody/possibly an anti with a much bigger/popular twitter account retweeted it bring what was a much smaller problem out into the open. After this, antis latched onto it and spread it everywhere all the while hiding xontext and trying to make Miko and Marin look bad. Then all of the normalfags on twitter saw the hashtag (created by antis) and latched onto like the sheep they are and also started shitting on Miko and Marin because they were all trying to fit in/save face/act holier than thou like japs tend to do. SO here we are. Thats what I can gather.
