At the end of the day, all this shit boils down to is that when you first come across it, Vtuber content is REALLY WEIRD, and the guys who watch it are easy targets for going "hey look at this looser". That was exactly my reaction when i first stumbled upon vtubers, its really really weird until your brain rewires to see vtubers as "just people". It's like showing anime to someone who's only ever seen live action movies their whole life, its uncanny.

So they see this weird thing and see some sexual fanart and go "this is what these guys are all like, disgusting pedophiles". But you can take any fanbase and find creepy fanart.
