I'm not trying to put them down as an insult so I don't want to say that, it just seems no one really has any desire to succeed past "Stream to a couple of dudes I guess." which doesn't really lead to good content just some droning "uhms" and "ahs" while they play their backlog. I don't have the perspective of someone who's found success in this field (I just started last month and I'm quite literally just streaming to a couple of dudes at the moment) but I agree with you about Kaiser. His attitude really seems to have improved and I'm happy to see that development take place.
I suppose I've kinda gone about this enterprise a little bit backwards because my approach so far has been just trying to get my legs for streaming before producing any worthwhile on-demand content. I also have yet to really interact with the rest of the community yet. But for what it's worth, I am planning to do those things. I just have no prior experience with content creation or any existing relationships or communities that I'm active in online and am starting from scratch.
I'm happy to hear that I'm not the least favorite, at least. So far the only feedback I got from my PNG in this thread was "I read Bondage Fairies and your avatar scares me," so I've held off from selfposting for a while.

I have a few regular viewers already at least, and one told me last weekend to open up donations which sure stoked my ego quite a bit. And I really enjoy streaming! My goal was "mint"-tier which people already said was way too high of a goalpost, and i do agree ~75 CCV average for playing shitgums + being loved by everyone is a hard goal, but when i watch her streams i get the feeling it's the exact sweetspot i'd love to be in. I like streaming on twitch and pretending to be a cartoon character while I stream.

I asked almost everyone i know about the babi thing, and nobody outside of here cares that i'm using a girl avatar and the only other responses i have gotten that aren't "don't care" are "i actually think it's kinda cool subverting expectations". It's at best anecdotal evidence, but i thought i'd share it.

Personally i think the main target group of chuuba's is lonely weebs that wanna simp for their oshi, and i think as a babi you aren't targeting those, because you have to decide whether you want to ignore the male voice and coom for the avatar or you are homo for the guy behind it but even then you don't know what they look like. There's still enough people that watch streams that don't care about any of that, but number-wise you'll be at a disadvantage. I personally wouldn't mind continuing being the admiral, but i have another reason for switching models.

I've asked people the same thing as well, then I ask them which ones they watch and the only answer I typically get is PorcelainMaid, mainly because he was one of the original ENs that were well known in the community and that's from the few who watch any babis at all.

I haven't done it in quite some time but I'm fairly sure that conversion from FBX to VSF (the better format for VseeFace because of shader support) is as simple as downloading a quick converter for Unity. You can change the texture files for the model to adjust the colors a bit but otherwise there's not much you need to mess around with. Booth Models are a very quick route to having a model superior to a majority of indies out there, a lot of them honestly rival some of the best indie models out there.

Pitch shifting artifacts. The vocal chords are a complex thing and you can't just pitch+formant their complexity away. Not everyone will pick up on them, but I'm the kind of person who spent six hours tweaking manual noise removal because I heard artifacts in RNNoise. The more you shift, the more audible they are. The best option seems to be commit to voice training reps and then finish it off with mild pitch tweaks if necessary.
