ASMR is Noel's whole forte, Kanata doesn't need it. The difference between setups comes from how the mics are positioned, not the snake oil mic quality. For Kanata getting KU100 to do one stream a month for fun would be such a waste I'd be very disappointed if she did it. But then again Kanata is bad with money I wouldn't be surprised.

It kind of bothered me that the right ear mic, the one on Noel's side, seemed to have a clearer and louder sound. I also noticed a difference in the mics during Kanatan's streams. Is it that hard to balance the two mics?

KU100 is a crutch for those bad at asmr and mic settings, and only really used properly by Patra of all the asmrtists I know that have one. A midrange 3dio is fine if you know what you're doing, and honestly even the cheap one is nice in the right environment.

I could be wrong (it’s not why i watch her) but i think a good portion of her fanbase are idolfags who want to watch their idol grow and progress right in front of their eyes, the Kanata experience is a journey.
She also plays into her innocent character, plus a bit of justified saviorfag spice to make the dish even more powerful.

She's probably still trying to find it to some extent; getting into Hololive and then Hololive exploding in popularity was a windfall she likely she never expected after the way her previous years went and there naturally would never had been any plans outside of "music?" when she joined, which has become more difficult.
Making silly clips /situations and stuff has been there right from the start though, with her Souran mixes and P.P.T. cover and a variety of other things she incorporated in streams (like parrot stuff)

Kanata's been watching Hololive for some time and her aspiration at the start might've been just "being a Hololive streamer" with everything it entails, comedy, silliness, music, challenges, cooperation. I forgot which stream she said it and I don't remember it quite clearly anymore but I believe she said she wanted to start with introducing Hololive as a whole in general first and Yonkisei/Gokisei since she hasn't done those, as well as reintroducing the gens that she's done before and then eventually moving to ID/EN too.
