I don't think the reason was that it'd be awkward.
She mentioned that holo mamas/papas are essentially contracted to do any future official artwork, which she wouldn't have the time for on top of whatever workload she's already dealing with.

she's a holo herself and she talked about it in the past, saying that having a kouhai that calls her "mama" would be very weird to her and it'd make the dynamic she'd have to have be very different, not to mention the external responsibilities she'd have. If she wanted to be a vtuber's mama, she would've already been one by now(since Ichikara has hired her to do art for them a bunch of times in the past, so have gacha games), but she doesn't really have the interest in it(she had conceptual live2D shit for her own persona, but that was before she became an EN)

That makes sense since it'd be awkward in collabs if your progeny asks "mama can you draw a new outfit for me" etc putting you on the spot in front of everyone. But it'd be really entertaining no doubt.

Plus she did a great job with Enma, who was done on the fly as a doodle for a stream but has been the all-but-official look for her since.
