The group can come back with a new gen but the current members are graduating; for now the branch is being put on hold until further notice, like if hololive had left open the possibility for a HoloCN gen 3 after graduating 1 and 2. I think, anyway, I got that from the comments so I could be wrong. After writing that out it sounds kinda retarded ngl, like I kind of get it if circumstances change and IN becomes profitable, but you might as well just graduate them all and let it be that unless you definitely plan on another gen for some unholy reason.

Because they have Bollywood.
Also, I don't hear much about India in relation to video games, whether that be developers or gamers, or streaming (any Indian streamer?). The video game industry underperforms in the country, relatively speaking, and leans heavily on mobile games. Lack of interest in video games and streaming obviously wouldn't bode well for domestic interest in vtubers.

Your assessment is partially correct, mostly because your second sentence isn't as big a factor in the overall picture of the issue of Indonesia vs India.

Indonesia happens to trade very heavily with Japan, being their top 3 trade partner at around 9% of import/export, which is the core market for the VTuber industry. Japan doesn't even crack the top 10 with India. Economic trade is also a vehicle for cultural trade, and Indonesia seem to be a relatively large consumer of ACG entertainment, which of course Japan is a large produce of.

The gaming market for India heavily leans on mobile games. I don't think that's the case with Indonesia.
The gaming market in the country is PC oriented because of DOTA, which throughout the years established an audience with the right tech at home to enjoy streams in the first place, and there's a significant interest in anime as well.

High import duties which is meant to compel manufacturers to set up a plant in India if they want to sell it for low prices. That's what china did for its smartphone business in India and they now rule the roost with cheap prices. No PC components manufacturers see any demand for PCs in India so all these imported stuff cost an arm and a leg for your common Indian consumer. I think things will change in future. Laptops/PCs are rising in demand as most parents want their child to become an IT whizz these days.

This would be true in 2015, but since 2018 anime has been on the incline in India. Especially with surging video game interest and availability of cheap gaming equipment of AMD cards. They are delving into anime games, and Demon Slayer is somewhat popular in India.
>>2516861
False. Check playboard and there are YT streamers in the bottom-middle level of revenue. Their stream culture is similar to the French and some EU regions, they're close knit and have no idea of streamers outside India. FB Gaming reports a lot of streamers are getting healthy revenue from India and SEA. YT gaming also have growing Indian streamers playing shit games like PUBG and also get regular superchats, but maybe not the type that would splurge on akasupas.

What you have to take away is that, India has the population to back up those investments. Niji simply were out of touch that India has gajillion language across their tribes, there is no "Indian" language, but only commonly speak English. But English alone can't pull in the viewers, due to differences in culture within the country.

Unlike Indonesia, they all speak Indonesian with modicum English skills, Cover made the right move to go for ID branch first.
Luckily, there are some Indian viewers that liked Okayu and Towa, and that one pajeet keep SCing Towa Valorant streams. Niji could've hold on a bit longer.

This issue can't be fixed. You can't expect them to do Niji tamil, Niji Malayalam, Niji Bengali etc. Just going for Hindi and expecting pan India is retarded in its own right as Hindi speakers are from the most underdeveloped parts of India and you're basically alienating more than half of India.
