As was said technically the ban existed, but clearly mori ignored it and immediately after that minor shitstorm they decide to revisit the rule again and make it official.

I mean, how often else would/could something related to AirBnB party make it onto twitter, and maybe get passed on somewhere? It's not impossible someone actually emailed them about it looking to get Mori in trouble in revenge and if they got inundated with these then AirBnB noticed "wow this thing with people partying can cause problems, let's look back at that, maybe this person ignored it thinking it's not relevant anymore."

So while I don't think AirBnB's CEO is a chumbud / Mori anti, I do think it's possible enough people concerned about the Mori party contacted them in multiple ways and that got their notice.

Airbnb had a soft ban on parties since 2019 but had a hard ban because of coof since August 2020. But all the incidents that keep happening like rapes and shootings at these parties is destructive to their brand so they made the ban permanent. They don't want "rape, murder and drugs" to be the first thing people think of when mentioning Airbnb. But as far as this board goes blaming Mori is fine.
