How do you play up a monotone voice? Even when I get excited I tend to be rather muted. If people go from a 5 to an 8 when they get excited I'm more like a 2 to a 5. People say they like my voice quite often but that's not entertaining for a viewer that's just aesthetic.

That's basically script reading, which is harder than most people think at first. I mean people literally do that to train their voice, and if it's hard enough to be training, then it wouldn't make for a good cut-ready performance starting from zero.
You sound MUCH nicer. You have a good voice. You don't sound completely comfortable, but it is much more natural - are you not used to recording yourself or being on the spot? That wouldn't be difficult to work out.

Anyways, if you want advice, you need to seriously consider listening to your voice, both after recording and live monitoring.
Eventually, you'll be able to speak perfectly naturally under-recording and then you can start speaking in whatever tone you please, we'll have you larping as an anime girl in no time.
Also, seriously consider listening to Kiki and figuring out what they do. She has a slightly pitched and slightly nasally voice but speaks in a really unusual rhythm on top of that - and she's still successful.

I guess you could also listen to Hanada Rin a couple of times, although I wouldn't bother if you're not trans, -they DO have a very nasally voice though. Honestly, it's just the closest voice I can think of, no offense.

There is a strong stereotype of the 'nasally trans' voice. Not sure why there are so many like that.
I assume it has something to do with exaggerating an already nasally voice by speaking in a forced falsetto, via the mechanics of SOMEHOW, lol, but it's probably a couple of other things as well like most stuff that influences a sound.
It's good that you record yourself often though. There's only one way to improve and it's lots of practice. Recording, listening, changing something a little, then repeating is just one of the things that helps speed it up. Live playback of your voice is just another. Still takes a time investment.

Honestly don't worry about what I said too much, it was mostly the nasal voice AND the fact I could tell you were speaking in a forced way, even if I couldn't tell why it sounded forced and unpracticed I still assumed relation between the two and put them together. It won't be a problem for you.

Out of the older ones? I think Cain and Kenji would be pretty good if they were given the support of a corpo. Bloom would also be an interesting pick similar to Aururan in Holostars in that they're both pretty boomer but Bloom would probably feel the least at home in that setting

Nobody really thinks guro is that weird. Not enough to impact how people interact with you or whether people voluntarily associate with you, and a lot of guro artists are female, so it doesn't have some unsafe or dangerous connotation for the most part.
I don't think it would be a problem considering all that, and since most guro artists are pretty normal artists otherwise, and pretty good (knowing at what angle bones break is pretty good for learning form I imagine).
